For example, Meryl Streep has won 8 categories and been nominated a record 30 times.
The Golden Globes began in 1944 with an informal ceremony at 20th Century Fox. The ceremony was for important achievements in the film industry. This year the ceremony took place on January 7th and hosted some of the most influential stars of the year. Many people like to guess who they think will win and some are disappointed when their favorite or top choice is not chosen.

Some fan favorite outfits from this year were Mikey Madison in a stunning gold scaled dress, Cynthia Erivo in an eye-catching, black bedazzled gown, and Dwayne Johnson in a lilac suit. This year “Wicked” starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande won the Golden Globe for “Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.” This was not surprising considering the film had over $634 million box office sales worldwide, beating “Mamma Mia” for most ticket sales of a musical adapted to a movie. One winner that shocked many fans was the movie “Flow” for best animated picture. The movie beat out “Inside out 2”, “Moana 2”, and “The Wild Robot” which were all movies that fans adored this year.
The ceremony is an emotion filled event for both nominees and fans. The event features some of the best works put out that year. The Golden Globes seem to get better each year and create a buzzing over what sort of entertainment will be put out in the next year and how they will impress the world.
