The Grammy’s is an annual event. There are a total of 94 Grammy categories celebrating the best of pop, rock, country, R&B, and more! The Grammy’s were first awarded for achievements in 1958. The purpose of getting a Grammy is to recognize the outstanding achievements in the music industry.
In this year’s 2025 Grammys, I believe that we should acknowledge the most decorated winner of all, she has 35 wins and 99 nominations, but has never won the biggest Grammy’s award: Album of the Year. Beyonce is now the proud owner of this award with her album Cowboy Carter. Many people feel that Beyonce robbed people of their chance of getting this award mainly because some people didn’t even know she had a new album.
There was some drama on the Red Carpet on the night of the Grammys. Kanye West and his wife Bianca showed up to the Grammys even though they were not invited. They stepped on the red carpet and his wife decided to show off her look. Bianca was in a very sheer mini dress and was completely nude underneath and she and Kayne continued to pose for the photographers, after getting escorted out, they simply got into a car and left as if nothing happened. Many viral moments have happened at the Grammys this year this moment was caught off camera but, it is rumored that Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigio hugged, the two women that are both now major names in the music industry were involved in a love triangle in 2021 when Oiliva Rodrigio dropped her single hit “Driver’s Licence” that has over 2.31 billion views, ranked in the top 100 most streamed songs on Spotify.
Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” was impeccable and Chappell Roan took home the Grammy for best new artist. This song also caused some issues, this song was aimed at Drake during their public feud. This song earned Kendrick a total of five wins including Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Music Video. In the end Kendrick got a lot out of this song and he was able to get his point across in a very public way. Billie Eilish, American singer-songwriter was nominated for 7 categories this year for her album Hit Me Hard and Soft. Unfortunately for her fans, Billie did not take home any Grammys this year which caused a big heartbreak for her community. Many fan bases were ecstatic about the outcome of the Grammys, others, not so much. Nevertheless, we hope to see new albums, creations, and success from our favorite artists this new year!
