After attending BCHS, alumni Caleb Ramsay Brown joins us again to help coach our athletes. Not only does he help football, he also helps us with our wrestling program here at the school. Caleb wrestled, played football and baseball for three years at BCHS (cutting it short due to a year of Covid). Coming back as an alumni, he enjoys roaming the halls once again and seeing what the sports programs have turned into. Caleb has really been putting a lot of work into our B and JV team alongside Coach Josh, another one of our alumni. Coen Burrows (10), our JV football captain says, “Caleb has definitely made our offensive and defensive line more mature and helped our team as a whole be more disciplined.” B team player Noah Lund (9) also claims, “Our defensive and offensive line Caleb has helped a lot for sure. Even though he is just a line coach, he is more than that in heart.” Outside of coaching, Caleb spends most of his time with his mom at home with a side of videogames. Caleb is currently working on training to become a police officer.
All the football coaches are putting a lot into working for wins and to overall have a good time. With all the conditioning, hard work and dedication, Caleb’s goal for this season is to end on a good note. Some advice one of our bubble players (JV and Varsity) Otis Ruth (10) lives by is “Knock the snot out of ‘em.” said to the team by our special teams coach, Coach Armstrong. Our coaches have put in an incredible amount of time and effort into perfecting our teams and plays. They make sure our players are always on a hustle, keeping their grades up, and taking safety procedures and protocols very seriously making sure all players are in a safe condition to play. All the players are close to each other, always working as a team and making each other better everyday at practice. Varsity D-line starter Seth Kirby (11) says the team plans to “Go crazy. Go wild. Help the team by doing our jobs.” to have a successful season. All coaches are confident in this year’s season and will proceed to keep up with the good work to hopefully be filled with wins this year making it to the playoffs!
