The boys soccer team has just begun and the team is looking outstanding, trying to make it to state this year. They have a new coach for the Boulder City Eagles soccer team, Coach Dickenson! We are so excited to have him here with us this season. Team captain Sean Pendleton, a senior this year says, “The season is going pretty good so far. We’re 4-2 and know we have some games we can win coming up. My expectations for this year is to make the playoffs and hopefully win in the first round. This year has been a lot different than past years with a new coach and a lot of new players. We have a team that plays more together than in past years.”
We wanted to hear a little more from the kids on the team about how the season is going so far, and what their expectations are. One of the team captains on the team is Luke Wright. Luke is a senior this year and plays midfield. When asked about the season this year. Wright replies, “The season is going pretty great so far! We’re 4-1 and are looking pretty good.” Luke says that his expectations are to make it to the playoffs and win at least the quarter final game.
Another team captain on the team is Junior Carson Smith. Carson’s thoughts on this season are that the seasons are going good but sadly there has been some injuries on the team that brought it down. Carson says, “ My expectations are the team getting into better shape and the team going onto the playoffs.” Lastly, Carson tells us how the practices have been. He says that the practices have been very “beneficial and consistent.” Teaching them strategies and the technical side of things.
Team captain, Robert Crowl is a senior and striker this year and says, “The season is going great to be honest. I feel like the boys all love playing together. We have big expectations to do great this season and to make it all the way!”
