Clinton Garvin is a new teacher and the new head wrestling coach at Boulder City High School. Coach Garvin teaches the new JAG/Employe Skills class. The class is designed to prepare students for life outside of highschool, including job skills and resume building.
Coach Garvin is a BCHS alumni. During his time in the BCHS wrestling program, he was a 4x regional champ and won state his junior and senior season, becoming a 2x state champion.
He then went to wrestle at University of Great Falls in Great Falls, Montana which is now known as the University of Providence where he was a 1x national qualifier. While wrestling in college, Garvin also earned a Bachelor’s degree in University Studies.
He came back to BCHS as a volunteer coach for the wrestling team in 2022. He stepped away this last season but has now come back and filled the position of Coach Jim Cox, who coached Garvin when he was in highschool.
Reflecting on why he came back to Boulder he said, ”I just want to give back to the students and athletes of Boulder City. This program helped guide me and lead me to become a better person. There is no place I would rather be than BCHS.” Students and athletes are excited to have Coach Garvin on campus. We are so excited to see what else he will accomplish at Boulder City!
