The Fall Basketball League is a league that the Boulder City basketball team participates in every year during the offseason.They also have a spring and summer league. In this league there are seven games per season. The team competes against several other teams all over Vegas; the games are played at the Las Vegas Basketball Center. The length of the games is shortened to two twenty minute halves. The head coach for the team is Coach Ballistre, and the assistant coach is Coach Saint. There are eleven players on the team. Only Varsity players are eligible to play on the team unless personally invited by the coaches. The team includes seniors Luke Wright, Sean Pendelton, Jack Walker, Aiden Vigil, Jayden Thackaray, and Ethan Valencia. Juniors King Raleigh and Tyler Bradshaw. Sophomores Branch Danko, Levi Randall, and Tre Pendelton.
Senior Luke Wright has a quote that stuck with him throughout his basketball career, “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.” Luke is considered a leader on the team so he uses that quote and pushes his teammates to have the same mindset. These leagues, especially the fall league, really help bond the players and get them ready to play together again. The team is excited to get to work as they have a good shot at going undefeated this season!
