Everyone always has high expectations for Boulder City High School’s cross country team. The boys and girls on the cross country team embody strength, determination, and resilience.
As the cross country season starts head coach, Mark Misuraca, has a bright outlook on his team and the future of this season. Misuraca said, “I’m very excited for the upcoming season. Our Boys are strong and Ellie continues to run for the girls.” Coaches and Teammates alike have been impressed by each other and continue to motivate each other at every practice, meet, and more.
Cross country hopes to make it to state. Misuraca feels that the senior runners are amazing role models for the younger runners on the team. The dedication these students have for this sport amazes people everyday.
For the girls, Meleah Camphouse and Ellie Palmer are both amazing runners and competed in state last year and are returning for the 2024 cross country season.
For the boys Paul Moll, Brandon Pickett, and Brandon Trupp return for the boys and all competed in regionals last year.
Competing in the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA) circuit Boulder City’s runners have been consistently ranked among some of the top schools in our region. All of Boulder City’s runners have spirited performances and optimism.
Beyond the physical part of cross country, our runners are some amazing students and work hard in class everyday. Seth Valencia is ranked 5th in the sophomore class at the moment. The cross country team is very intelligent outside of running.
As their season progresses and state starts getting close, the Eagles cross country team will start training harder and focusing on the state championship.
