Whenever you hear someone talking about the class Publications you’re probably wondering ‘What even is that?’ It may be a little confusing to what we do at first, but it’s a fun experience! There are two sections of people in the class, half are in Yearbook, and the other half are in Newspaper.
In Yearbook, each student is assigned about two pages of a certain topic that we have taken pictures for and arrange and caption them. They also have to be done in a certain amount of time (normally about a week or two) to finish. The Newspaper students participate in making our website, The Eagle Press. There is a website that is called bchseaglepress.com for all of the articles that the students in the newsletter write. The students in newsletter also have about the same amount of time to finish their articles as the students in yearbook have to finish their pages in the year book.
Although there is a lot of stuff about making pages and writing articles, there is more to it. We also have to put in time to take pictures for the yearbook. The students in the yearbook and newsletter all know how to take sharp and vibrant pictures in the right place at the right time.
The biggest thing for the class is making sure that you get all of the assignments done on time and actually turned in and checked before the due date. All students make sure to put time and effort into their articles and spreads to keep their grades up. To sign up for the class, on your classes that you can choose from, choose publications!
