As we kick off our new school year, we welcome the freshmen class of 2028 to BCHS!
The freshmen students shared their point of view on what the first day of school was like. Students had the opportunity to tour the school before school actually started, which helped a lot of students including new freshmen. When Freshman Donovan Knapp was asked how easy it was to navigate the school on the first day, he responded “Yes, because I actually remembered where my classes were.”
We also interviewed several students and asked them what they think of BCHS so far. Student Ella Smith said “Boulder City High school is so much better than Garrett was. Highschool over middle school 100%.” It seems like the freshmen are very happy about being in high school.
Other freshmen were interviewed asking if they thought being in high school was more fun and easy or more on the hard and stressful side. Student Hanna Tibbs said, “I think being in high school is more fun and exciting than stressful and hard because it is more laid back and we get treated like young adults with more responsibility.” Many freshmen also agree with this thinking.
The new incoming freshmen Eagles of BCHS were hyped to be going to their first ever welcoming assembly for the 24-25 school year. Student Ella Smith shared her opinion on her first ever high school assembly, “Everyone is way more excited and revved up for high school assemblies.” Student Morgen Terrill also found the assemblies much more exciting than any other assembly she’s been to, saying, “They are a lot more fun and exciting.” All the freshmen seemed to have a blast at their first high school assembly.
After all these interviews, the freshmen all seem to be enjoying the school year so far and are very excited to see what else highschool has to offer!
