Our student council is the heart and soul of our high school spirit. The most passionate students step up to the plate showing their true colors, creating memorable high school events and shaping our high school experience. Passion has always been something we treasure so highly and truly one of the outstanding things in our school. BCHS Student Council has spread the passion of leadership and empowerment within BCHS by planning events and helping volunteer around our community.
As Student Council spreads joy through BCHS during the school year, they not only affect students outside of STUCO, but the ones behind it too. When I asked Hannah Saso, senior class treasurer, How do you feel the Student Council has affected you? She said, “As a member of STUCO I feel like I have a stronger role in community work and in school events. I also feel that the Student Council has led me to getting closer with underclassmen, creating new friendships, and understanding the importance of the council all together.”
Our Student Council has made sure to not only build memories for other students but make lots of thrilling recollections together. They have made so many unforgettable moments and have built a tight-knit family. The memories they share range from assembly set up to at STUCO state where they played games in the arcade.
Abby Francis, senior class president said, ”My favorite memory was the Homecoming assembly setup my junior year after the tailgate. It was really fun, everyone was acting delusional.” When I asked “What is your favorite STUCO memory?”
Behind all of the hard work of the Student Council is Mrs. Herr, our student council advisor. She has been working with STUCO for 13 years and has truly made an impact on our community. As she guides our Student Council she has built strong relationships and positive interactions with students.

The Student Council this year has decided to change our winter dance, instead of the traditional Sadie Hawkins this year, they will host a luau. Get ready for an unforgettable celebration on March 8th, dancing the night away, playing games and eating delicious food!
Our Student Council has made a huge impact on our school and continues to affect our community everyday. Through community service and planning events like dances, tailgates, and helping out with parades, they improve our community every day. David Zwahlen said, “I feel like the Student Council creates a loving environment that makes all students feel cared about. They create fun experiences that we will remember forever.” Thanks to the dedication and passion of our stucco, our school has become a place where students feel inspired, connected, and motivated to create memories.
