Welcome back the BCHS Eagles for the 24-25 school year! During the first assembly of the school year, the students were enjoying themselves while participating in a great variety of school activities, traditions, and games. As students walked in the gym, the band was playing upbeat tunes along with the school fight song “Onward Boulder” and filling the gym with energy to get everyone excited for the fun assembly. The students got to play games while also competing for the Eagles spirit stick! For the first time, the class of 2026 won the spirit stick.The en
ding score from the assembly, including the Rah-Rahs and the games were quite exciting and surprising to some. The Freshman, Sophomores, and Seniors all got 1 point while the Juniors took the lead with 3 points after winning several of the games as well as one of the Rah-Rahs. Throughout the assembly, there were lots of dances from many of the fall sports and activities including soccer, golf, volleyball, cheer, and football. These students took their time inside and outside of school to make up and practice these dances to perform at our fall sports assembly. These were also all very entertaining performances which left the whole gym and every member of Boulder City High School hooting and hollering as well as some supporting parents who came to watch the assembly. The spirit stick may be in the hands of the Juniors now, but in two weeks, the spirit stick will be up for grabs again as all four grades will compete again for the stick. Some things that students were saying that they would want to see again or a favorite game was the plunger game with the volleyball.
Prior to the assembly, the school participated in the 5 spirit days. Although all of the spirit days were fun, there were two that stood out more than the others, these two days were the USA and the double up day. Many students were showing up to school decked out in their red, white, and blue and twinning outfits with friends. Everyone was being very creative, coming to school in headbands, tutus, and necklaces all representing the USA for our spirit day while also on Thursday twinning with all of their friends. Everyone can not wait for the next assembly!
